Sweet and Spicy Fish Steaks


Introduction
Sweet and Spicy! That pretty much sums it up.
This recipe can be adapted to any kind of fish.

Shopping List

Fish
Oil for frying
Onion (not pictured)
Tomatoes
Italian long hot peppers
Garlic
Ginger
Lime
Fish sauce
Soy sauce
Sweet chilli sauce
Flour
Salt/pepper/cayenne

Instructions

Add lemon to the fish and a layer of salt and pepper. Add a dusting of flour and a few dashes of cayenne.

Shallow fry until golden brown. Remove from pan and lay on paper towels to drail oil.

Fry a teaspoon each of garlic and ginger in touch of oil and add remaining ingredients- onion, peppers, tomatoes, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of fish sauce and 1/4 cup of sweet chilli sauce. Cook until onions and peppers are just about soft but slightly crispy to the bite
Toss in the fish steaks and coat with the sauces

Delicious on a bed of cheesy garlic couscous. If using rainbow trout steak, be very careful to pick out the bones!
