Perch on Asian Flavored Noodles

Introduction

I love Asian food! In other words just food to me. I hate long complicated grocery lists that force me to google the closest specialty food store, BUT if you crave Asian food like I do, its worth venturing out to get the basic Asian staples that can be used in other recipes too.

Grocery List

Perch
Flour
Cumin
Cayenne
Salt/ Pepper
Mushrooms (Shown here is King Oyster)
Asian Noodles (Hong Kong style pan fried noodles were used here)
Optional - Watercress
1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
1 teaspoon Fish Sauce
1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
Butter or Olive Oil
Sweet Chili Sauce
Beer- one bottle to a case- depending on how long your day was as an accompaniment

Instructions

Prepare the the perch fillets as instructed in the Perch taco recipe http://baysideboatandtackle.blogspot.com/2015/11/perch-tacos.html or cheat and use leftovers like I did.

Chop up the scallions and watercress

Season the mushrooms with salt and pepper and then saute in butter or olive oil until golden brown.
Heat up a cup of water with a tablespoon of oil in a shallow pan and add the Singapore noodles to it until water is absorbed and noodles are slightly crispy.
Toss in the mushrooms, watercress, scallions, sesame oil, fish sauce, dashes of salt and pepper and Mix. Place perch fillets on top and to complete all the flavors some sweet chili sauce on the fillets.
